People are starting to ask AI who to hire. Can it find your business?
ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, and tools like them are becoming a way people look for local businesses. The good news: what helps you there is mostly the same honest groundwork that helps you everywhere else. I'll take a look at what you've got and tell you what I'd fix first.
Try a helper like this one.
Ask my AI assistant about websites, marketing, or quote requests. I can build a similar chatbot around your business’s real services and next steps.
Chatbots are custom-scoped, not automatically included in SEO or Local Growth. Setup and ongoing AI usage costs are agreed separately.
What this actually is
- AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI answers pull from the same public web as regular search. There's no secret AI ranking trick — Google says so themselves.
- What helps is boring but real: a website that can be crawled and indexed, clear services and locations, accurate business info, and content that actually answers questions.
- Being eligible to show up and being recommended are two different things. Nobody can honestly promise you a spot in an AI answer — including me.

What I check
A practical review of the things that decide whether your business shows up — and whether showing up turns into a call.
Can search engines and AI crawlers reach your site?
Indexing, crawl access, page structure, and whether your content is readable by machines at all.
Is your business info accurate everywhere?
Your Google Business Profile, services, service area, and contact details — consistent and up to date.
Does your site show real work and real reviews?
AI tools and customers both look for proof you're a real, trusted business.
Does your site turn a visit into a call or quote request?
Getting found only matters if the next step is obvious.
Optional: what AI tools say when asked about businesses like yours
I can run a few real prompts and tell you what comes back. It's a snapshot, not a score — answers change and vary by person.
The point isn't AI. It's the customer on the other end.
Get found
Make it easy for Google and AI tools to understand what you do and where you do it.
Get chosen
Real photos, real reviews, and clear answers give people — and AI — a reason to pick you.
Get contacted
Calls, quote requests, and booking that work on a phone, so a good impression turns into a job.
This is the same path your website already needs to walk: get found, get trusted, get contacted, get booked. AI search is just one more door into it. If your website, local marketing, or follow-up systems need work, that's usually where the biggest wins are.
What this looks like in real life
Made-up scenarios, but the questions are real ones your customers are already asking.
Tree service
Someone asks their phone who can give them a tree removal estimate in Tulsa. Does your site clearly say you do removals, where you work, and how to request a quote?
Cleaning company
A homeowner asks an AI tool what to look for in a cleaning service. Does your site answer those questions in plain language, with your actual services and prices or how quoting works?
Contractor
Someone searches for a contractor who does a specific kind of project. Does your site show that kind of work with real photos and a way to ask about their project?
How it works
Free personal review
You send me your business link. I look at it myself — not an automated scan — and reply with one or two practical suggestions.
Fix the first things first
If there's work worth doing, I'll tell you what I'd tackle first and why. Some of it you might be able to do yourself, and I'll say so.
Bigger help if you want it
If you want me to do the work, we'll scope it plainly. No retainers you don't need, and no promise of AI recommendations — nobody can honestly make that one.
Fair questions
Is this a separate thing from regular SEO?
Not really. The same foundations — good content, clear structure, accurate business info, a site that works — are what both Google and AI tools rely on. If your regular SEO is solid, you're most of the way there.
Can you get me recommended by ChatGPT?
No one can promise that, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. What I can do is make sure your business is easy to find, understand, and trust — which is the part you actually control.
Do I need a new website for this?
Usually not. Often it's fixing what's already there: clearer services, better structure, accurate listings. If your site has bigger problems, I'll tell you straight.
What does it cost?
The first look is free. If there's work worth doing, I'll tell you what I'd fix first and what it would take before you spend anything. Ongoing marketing help is priced separately and plainly on my pricing page.
