Can I Show Google Reviews on My Website?
Quick answer
Usually yes, but the method matters. You can quote a review manually, link people to your profile to read them all, or use a widget or integration that displays them if the platform's current terms allow it. Platform rules, APIs, and widget terms change, so the right approach is whatever is permitted at the time — not a copy-paste of everything.
The three common approaches
- Manual display: you select a review and place the text on your site yourself, crediting where it came from. Simple, fully under your control, and it doesn't update on its own.
- Link out: a clear "Read our reviews" link to your profile. Least work, always current, but you lose the visitor for a moment.
- Widget or integration: a tool pulls reviews in and displays them. Convenient, but it depends on that tool, its terms, and its continued support.
Plenty of businesses use two of these — a few chosen quotes on the page, plus a link to the full profile.
Why I won't promise you a live feed
Review platforms control how their content may be displayed, and those rules, the available APIs, and third-party widget terms change over time. Anyone who promises a permanent automatic sync is promising something they don't control. The honest version: we use a method that's permitted when we build it, and if that method changes, we adjust.
Practical guidance
- Don't scrape or bulk-copy a platform's review content.
- Don't alter what a reviewer wrote. Attribute it as a review from that platform.
- Don't show a star rating that differs from your real one.
- Keep a link to the real profile so anyone can check for themselves.
Terms vary by platform and change over time, and this isn't legal advice — when you're unsure, the platform's own guidelines are the thing to read.
A simpler path worth considering
Reviews you collect directly — with permission — carry no platform restrictions at all, and you can pair them with photos and job details a platform review never includes. Many businesses end up doing both: profile reviews for volume and credibility, their own approved reviews for depth.
What this means for your setup
Manual quotes and a profile link work on any site, including a Simple Start or Business Website. A live integration is configuration work that depends on your tools and the platform, so it belongs in Custom Build territory rather than being assumed.
